As modern electronic industry gains increasingly development, the emerging of various wireless communication systems and high-frequency electronic devices leads to mounting problems such as electromagnetic interferences and electromagnetic pollution and its consequencing EMI severely affects the normal operation of various precision electronics.
Electromagnetic wave shielding means that the nergy of electromagnetic waves is reflected or absorbed by the surface to hinder or reduce its transmission, so as to realize electromagnetic compatibility. Wave-absorbing mechanism refers to the absorption and attenuation of incident electromagnetic wave as well as the dissipation and absorption of electromagnetic energy by turning it into thermal energy or other forms of energy. The values of electromagnetic wave shielding and absorption are indicated by SE (Shielding Effectiveness) in decibels dB. Generally, the larger the SE is, the higher the attenuation.
The coating and paint of electromagnetic shielding consists of electrically conductive filler, resin adhesive, solvent, and additive. The electromagnetic shielding sheet is made by the compression and modeling of conductive metal power, metal fiber, carbon black, carbon firber, conduxtive glass fiber and organosilicone sheet. According to the fillers, it can be classified into carbon-based, silver-based, copper-based, and nickel-based electromagnetic shielding.
